Well, as they say, Christmas is a time for forgiving, so I think that it would be awfully lovely if you could find it in your hearts to forgive me for my 7 month gap. I have no reason, no excuse, no way to make my side look any better. So, seeing as I can only apologise, I suggest we move on? I know it's only one item, but I really want this:

I've fallen in love with this colour, I think it's really flattering on most skin tones and I've spent far too much of my hard earned money on items of this shade. I think it's great, because this blazer is made of jersey, so if you eat too much on Christmas day it wouldn't be tight against your skin, and the material is breathable, so less of the 'sweaty over-fed' look! I think it would also be good for New Years Eve party's over an LBD and teamed with some sparkling killer heels!

I love the fact Topshop is now incorporating make-up into their collections, it gives people an idea of what make-up to wear with the clothes and the main colours of the collection!

I really want the floral top, I think it's gorgeous and perfect for summer! If I was a bit skinnier, I would really want to top too, but sadly I don't think it would suit someone with hips. The blush is a lovely colour, probably too bright for me, but still lovely!

I love Ellie Goulding. Her music is amazing and her style is so pretty. If I could look like any celeb, it would be her! I've been finding out recently that quite a few of the clothes I have, Ellie also owns, which makes me laugh! She always looks so nice, she could probably wear a bin bag and look gorgeous, which sadly I can't do! I think her style is genuinely quite indie, and it's lovely!

I got the inspiration for this post this morning. The sun was out, I woke up and 8 and I didn't feel like complaining it was too early, because the sun woke me up. This morning genuinely wouldn't have been out of place in France in summer. Sadly the sun faded at around lunch time, but I still feel super summery.

I set out on this blog for it to be about life and fashion, the life part of it has failed considerably. So today is about my life and plans, if that would bore you, then stop reading right about here.

Plans to complete by summer:

1. Flat stomach.

4. Did I mention flat stomach?

5. OH.. and a flat stomach.

6. Learn to surf.

7. Get a decent pair of shorts.

4. Spend lots of time with my lovely friends!

5. Swim.

6. Beach at least twice a week, if not every day! ;)

7. Possibly get a job if we don't win the lottery.

There's something about summer, it just makes me smile. People on the beach always seem to look happy and healthy, apart from the annoying toddlers which always seem to cover me in sand. I like the fact that the sea works as a free, natural exfoliator so after a few days in it, your skin is usually perfectly clear! I like sitting on the beach in the evenings, having an ~~illegal~~ evening barbecue in the sand dunes and sitting around listening to people play guitar. Summer, for me, is magic and if every season was like it then I would be happy... until I wanted some snow!

Shorts are a staple item. Put a pair of leggings on and a jumper and you're set for summer evenings, team them with a baggy Tee for a casual beach outfit or even try a dress over the top for a day trip shopping or a light summer walk.

These shorts are from Abercrombie and Fitch and because they can be worn with so many things, I don't think spending a little bit more than normal is necessarily a bad thing. These are on sale for £62, but being A&F they will be of a very high quality, and will almost definitely last for years!

If you want prices and shops of any of the dresses or tops write a comment, but most of them are in US dollars, so I will have to convert them. That's one reason why I don't like polyvore, all GBP seems to turn into US dollars.

ITOD and an apology.

Lets start off with the apology shall we? I'm sorry for not blogging for a week. I have no excuse except for being slightly busy, having a mass of textiles coursework to do, a biology leaflet to make which took everyone else a week and I had to do it in a night and talking to too many people on msn and facebook chat. I can't blog on Mondays or Tuesdays due to the fact I joined a surf life saving club. Wednesdays are used to catch up on the homework I got on Monday and Tuesday, and Thursday is used to do Wednesday and Thursday's homework. Friday nights are usually spent with my friends, as are Saturdays, and on Sundays I do Fridays homework and any left over projects I got given over the school week and then I got to surf life saving at two till four. I have quite a busy life at the moment and am in desperate need of a holiday, which I only have to wait till Friday week for! I am planning on sitting at home and doing nothing. Most people would not admit to that, but I think I deserve to sit at home and do nothing.

Before I do my IOTD, would any of you be interested in a haul video soon? I went to London last weekend and had a birthday a few weeks ago and I was in Paris a few weeks before that, so I've stocked up a fair few clothes and other items to show.

Enough of my rambling, here's my IOTD:

I've been really getting into maxi dresses really. I'm quite short, so don't do much for my height, but I will admit that in the right shape I actually don't look too fat. I couldn't really care less about my height, but my weight is a different story, so I may have to purchase a maxi dress for this summer. This maxi is from Asos and is £65.

A spring outfit.

Sometimes simplicity is best, and I think if there was ever a season for simplicity, it would be Spring. Spring, to me, is when new crops are planted and farm animals are born. It makes me think of the countryside, and I sort of wanted to make an outfit that you could imagine wearing on a lovely long walk along a dry footpath walk. I picked pale pastel colours because I just don't think bright colours would fit in, and I'm not really a 'bright colour' person.

The cardigan is from net-a-porter and is £270.

Weekend Wants.

1. Proenza Schouler £1,255. I love this bag, I was going to put up the original Alexa bag, but I thought it had been on every single blog recently, so I put and remake of it on. I love bags like this, and might go into town today and purchase a look-a-like of this.

2. Asos £49. I am in love with Royal Blue at the moment and I don't yet have a bodycon dress so this would be perfect! Sadly though I don't think I am quite small enough yet!

3. Lush £5.25. I don't have a clue what's going on with my skin at the moment, but I think the Rockie Mountain Range has relocated on my face. So hopefully a nice face mask might get rid of them?

4. Topshop £7. I love this colour (Coy) and I think it's a nice take on the original lip stick! I would also assume that it could work as a cheek tint soon!

5. Topshop £36. I love florals, and it's nearly summer so this top could get a lot of wear! Ruffles and florals are both still in trend, so that's a bonus!

6. Urban Decay £25. I was looking at my eyeshadows today, and all the pressed powders seem to be neutral so I think I need some brights! I find loose powders quite hard to work with as well, even though I have quite a few!

7. Pixi £12. I like the idea of a lipstick and liner in the same place! It's so useful as well, as I can never find a lip liner to match my lipsticks!

What make-up means to me.

Right, to start this discussion rolling I would like to point out I don't actually like the term 'make-up' it's insinuating that when you wear it you are not yourself, or your beauty is 'made-up'. Make-up shouldn't be used to cover physical insecurities because you are all beautiful, perfect versions of yourself and please don't ever forget that. If you feel your face isn't perfect give a thought to AIDs victims and people who have deformations and mutations on their faces, they are beautiful and perfect too, but they are judged by heartless people. So if you ever feel you are anything less that perfect, email me and I will explain to you just how beautiful you are.

I believe make-up should be worn to emphasise your favourite features and give you a healthy glow on those days where you just feel a bit dull. Infact, I don't believe make-up should be worn until you realise the fact you aren't covering your face up, you are mainly accenting your best features and perhaps covering small spots or blemishes.

Make-up means a lot to me, because I think it made me feel happy. It was always my version of art, my friends preferred to draw on paper and canvas's but I preferred to 'draw' on myself. I had lip-gloss and eye-shadow sets from 8 or 9, I never used to wear make-up out, but I always used to experiment with it at home and get all dressed up like a 'big girl' as my mum informs me I used to say! It's only really been in the past year I've started wearing things like foundation, but I don't really wear that now as I just prefer my face without it! My make-up collection isn't massive, but it's big enough for me and it's ever expanding! I have a few brushes which I've showed before in my brush collection, and I think make-up brushes are a key thing in any make-up kit, but I don't really like the fact some people find it all has to be from Sigma, MAC or Coastal Scents. Make-up and make-up brushes alike don't always follow the 'quality comes with price' rule, because sometime the best things are from Boots or Superdrug, I've even heard Primark make-up is pretty good!

I feel more confident while wearing make-up, but I also like the fact that it shows that I've made an effort! I don't feel any more pretty or any less, I still feel like me!

I got given this dress by my mum a last week to wear in Paris and it's lovely! It suits all different shapes and sizes and the pattern is so sweet! It's from Topshop, surprise surprise, but I really do love this and I would get it if it was in Primark, New Look or River Island.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently and sorry they're all so short. I've been so busy and tired, which I know is the usual excuse, but it's genuine. I have 3 pieces of coursework, countless homeworks and so many clubs to do. I have no motivation or energy to do anything right now so it's all building up!

Back from Paris!

I had literally no time to blog in Paris, so this is my official apology. Another apology is for the fact that my camera has no battery, but pictures will be up soon! I have a small haul, with a very exciting addition to my make-up collection... A M.A.C LIPSTICK!!! I didn't own anything from M.A.C which seems silly, because make-up is my thing, I spend more money on make-up than any other thing apart from clothes! I love it. The lipstick is called 'Please Me' and it's a very pretty pink!

Paris was lovely, although I didn't really see many fashionable people, but I did see a lady in a massive wedding dress running across a zebra crossing by the Eiffel tower, which was quite funny! The metro is seriously scary, every other seat is taken by a homeless person and his dog. Once we even stopped in between two stations and everyone got very freaked out. The worst part was all the French, I mean I speak a little bit of French, but no where near enough to get by happily in Paris! I said 'Je voudrais...','oui','non','merci' and 'pardon' and that was about it! I do feel that my French pronunciation is a lot better now though!

Anyway, better post up tomorrow!!!

Update and a rant.

I am writing this at 6:14am due to technical difficulties. Which also means no scheduled posts. My computer died last night and wouldn't let me put pictures into posts and an accessories post with no pictures is like a computer without internet!

So today, in half an hour, I will be off to Paris. I got all excited because my friends told me French boys are really hot and so I typed in 'Parisian boys' to google images. Don't. My mind is scarred.

If I can write in Paris I will, but if not you'll have to wait till Friday night, sorry! I wasn't actually going to post now, because I didn't get very much sleep last night, but my ipod hasn't charged so I'm keeping the computer running to charge it quickly now! I so excited, like really excited. I've wanted to go to Paris since I've been around 4 or 5 and now I get to go! It's one of the many places on my 'bucket list' so to cross it off will be fantastic!

Anyway, ipod's pretty much charged now, and I need a morning coffee. So I'll see you all on Friday if not sooner!

I love bags. I think I have around 10, it's an addiction. A bag is the final piece of an outfit, to me it completes a look and turns it from looking pretty to fashionable! You can get some very nice cheap bags in places such as New Look, Primark or even Forever 21 (WE HAVE THEM IN THE UK NOW :D) but bags are the one thing, for me, where quality comes with a price. Accessories: Hair Accessories Excluding Hats

So I'm sat here with my trusty cup of tea, phone by my side, ipod earphone in my ear and I'm typing away on my laptops keyboard. I've become so obsessed with technology, as have most people my age, and I really don't think it's good! So a week in Paris, where my phone wont work, my laptop'll have no Internet and my ipod wont be there for fear of pickpockets will be good for me! With all the culture I'll be taking in I probably wont even notice the lack of it! I'll take lots of lovely picture hopefully, and no doubt there'll be a few posts on Paris coming up this time next week!

Anyway, on with my hair accessories post! I've never really worn that many hair accessories. I used to wear pretty bandannas and Alice bands, but I grew out of them at about 10 or 11 sadly. It wasn't really because they were childish, but more because none of my friends wore them. Recently in shops I've seen a lot more hair accessories, and they are a really nice way to decorate an outfit, or add a splash of colour to an otherwise dark outfit. I'm sorry for the lack of posts, I have a RP (Religious Philosophy) mock tomorrow, so shouldn't be blogging, but I couldn't wait any longer! I've been busy with school, work and revision, the usual! I've also come to the conclusion that maybe fashion journalism isn't for me. As much as I love writing and if I was successful then I could be very wealthy, I still want to be a teacher. I tried to find other better paid jobs, but this one always keeps coming back. So I decided, at the end of the day I'd rather do a job which I enjoy and want to do, than a job chosen on the basis of salary! Anyway, better get on with the post:

Exercise Routine and Diet.

For the purposes of my confidence, I'm not going to tell you how much I weigh, it's not too bad, but for me it's not good enough to shout out to the world. However, what I will tell you is, I have been doing this since Tuesday, I'm not hungry, my muscles aren't aching and I've lost three pounds!

Weekly Diet and Exercise routine:

Revamp of the Special K, 'Two Bowls, Two Meals' diet.

I eat Special K for breakfast, I don't snack in school and then I indulge in a nice lunch, with pudding. I then get home, do five sets of ten sit-ups and then eat a bowl of Special K for tea. I drink plenty of fluids, and climb a hell of a lot of stairs, but I finish the day happy and full, which is good! On Sunday's I go ski-paddling, which is relatively like a harder version of kayaking, and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays I swim lengths, which, if done properly, leaves me tired and exhausted. I think the key to diets is not stuffing your face after exercise because you think you deserve it. That's where my diets have always faltered and stopped. The key to losing weight is letting the fat stored inside you be used as energy for exercise! Sure, you deserve a good old chocolate bar, but you'll deserve one more if you manage to stick it out till you get to your goal weight! I'm not encouraging diets, but they're better than the alternative versions of losing weight

Brush Collection and Review.

Face Brushes, top to bottom: Ted Baker retractable Kabuki, Benefit angled powder brush, Benefit liquid foundation brush, Benefit concealer brush and a Benefit powder brush.

Eye brushes: Benefit hard angle, Ted Baker blending brush, Lancome fluffy brush, Cosmopolitan lash brush. I also have a few more, but I couldn't tell you where they are if you paid me!

Ted Baker lip brush

The Benefit Angled Face Brush and the Ted Baker Kabuki both give considerable fall out for the first 4-5 uses, but if you can stand through that they are perfect! The flat Benefit face brush gives fall out, but I got it free so I can't complain! The liquid foundation brush is somewhat streaky when used in the dim morning light before school. The concealer brush... well it conceals, but I find it better to 'pat' it on, rather than paint it on. No complaints about any eye brushes, the Ted Baker one is my favourite! The lip brush is a bit short, but it works alright!

I'm going mad typing this, I put it off for a while because I hate typing on my laptop, but my Mac broke and the delay of posting was just too much!

Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been so busy! Friday and Saturday were spent down at Dads with my sister Amelia and my little brother Thomas, who are the cutest little things on earth! Today I've been ski paddling, which I would recommend to all of you! The guy who was in the double ski with me really made me work, so my arms feel terrible right now, but it's all for the best because I need to keep up with everyone who does it!

So onto the IOTD, I chose this jumper from Topshop. Nautical styles seem to be back in and I do love navy and cream together! I'm also feeling rather cold after being in the sea all afternoon so this jumper would've been perfect for when I got out! Sadly I only had a shirt so my arms are now bright red!

Revision books and diet ending food.

My mum and I can never just buy one thing! We went to WHSmith to buy one Maths revision book, but yet we came out with four revision books. Maths, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. It basically means I have no excuse not to revise!

I love cooking, it's a way to relax and just something I genuinely enjoy! I love the looks on peoples faces when you cook something that tastes really good and you see them smiling after each mouthful! So because of this Mum bought me a cookbook for Christmas and I want to cook every non-fish recipe in the book! I hate fish, but luckily there isn't much of those sea dwelling creatures in here!

Wednesday Wants!

I've been want a nice denim shirt (1) for some time now, although to start with I leaned more towards the pale-wash, almost white denim shirts, but now the more commonly worn coloured denim shirts seem quite appealing! I also love the brown and cream buttons on this one, it gives it a slightly different feel, just goes to show that changing one small thing can change an item a whole lot! This shirt is £30, so quite affordable! Tank tops never go out of fashion, if you pick the right cut for your shape and buy a good quality one, it will last you for countless years! Most of my vest/tank tops are block colours and recently I'd been wanting to get a few printed ones, but, having my luck, hadn't found any I liked in my price range, until out day when I went through a troll through the Topshop website (surprise, surprise!) and found a gorgeous one (2) with a dark grey flower/leaf print on! It's only £30 and would go perfect with the denim shirt! While searching for the printed vest, I cam across a lovely pleated T-shirt (3). It has a very delicate floral print and I really want it! It's £36, which is a bit pricey for a T-shirt, especially when there is a denim shirt for £30, but I do still really love it! When I'm on the computer I constantly have itunes on, and am so tempted to buy Bruno Mars's new album 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' (4) but I don't want to spend all my itunes money on it! It is £9.99 after all.

I've become addicted to nail varnish recently, 'the more pink the better' seems to sum up the colours I wear at the moment! So when I saw O.P.I's California Raspberry (5) I really wanted it! Sadly the only place I can seem to find it is on the American amazon for $4.99! Going along with the pink theme (yes, I do realise they're nude, but it's slightly pink! :P) I've fallen in love with these shoes from Topshop (6), they're £68 and I really, really, really want them! While searching in mums room for a pair like the Topshop ones, I came across her Coco Mademoiselle (7) perfume and it smells heavenly! Disappointingly Mum knows I likes it and I swear she sniffs whenever I walk in the room to make sure I haven't used it! So if I want one, I'll have to buy my own, which I can't see happening as it's £76.60! Just a bit too pricey for me! On the subject of beauty products, I found that Boots.com sells the Naked Palette by Urban Decay (8) and it's fairly reasonable at £27.50. When it comes back into stock I will be purchasing it!

While on Topshop, yet again, I found a brown pair of my school shoes (9) which are £50 and I want some, as I wear my school schools out everywhere and I don't want to wear them out, so I might get these to wear out instead of my school shoes! I also saw these sweet earrings (10) that are shaped like owls! They're $13 from Topshop USA, I put the USA price as they're sold out in the UK!

I started my baby-sitting job tonight, which is lovely and makes me £12 extra a week, on top of that mum raised my pocket money to £40, bonus! So I got around £80 a month, meaning lots more goodies for the blog to be reviewed!

I like this feature [Collection of the Day], I think it has become a regular thing now, and I'm rather pleased!

I did initially make a polyvore 'Romance and Ruffles' set, but I wasn't 100% sure whether I liked the layout and I wont show something to you guys unless I believe I have done as well as I could possibly do at the time I did it! Which recently, admittedly, has not been of a high standard, because as I told you I have issues sticking to thinks, even those which I thoroughly enjoy like blogging. I am making myself stick to this, rain or shine if I'm home and free, a post will go up! I want to be a fashion journalist when I am older, it is my goal, and has been for some time now and even though that is what I want to do, I will still have issues in sticking to it and not getting bored, but if I labour through that stage then I will find it will only get better! As they say, the grass is always greener on the other side! I believe that; after I get past this stage of thinking no one actually reads my blog, no one comments because my writing is bad and the items I put on my blog aren't what everyone wants to see, I will better for it, but for now, I'm suffering from lack of confidence, as I always do.

Teenage Elegance.

There are, at some points in your teenage life, moments when you need to look elegant, chic and classy. For instance if you go for an interview into college or university, or out for a posh meal with parents, friends or your boyfriend. When these moments happen in my life, I am usually at a loss for what to wear, because I want to dress my age, but I want to look elegant at the same time, something which, at the moment, my wardrobe cannot deliver. So although this outfit is for you beautiful readers, it is also for myself, it has help me get a few ideas on what to wear next time an occasion like this arises and hopefully it will do the same for you!

The key to elegance for me, is less is more and simple is perfect. Take one statement item, in this case the skirt (2), and team it with a few basic items like a plain vest (1), a black jacket (3) and a simple pair of black heels (5). Jewellery wise I wouldn't go over the top, wear stud earrings instead of dangly earrings paired with either a necklace or a bracelet (4), or even a ring in certain circumstances. For me, if you don't by good quality rings it can make an outfit go from classy to trashy in one accessory, which is really not a good look!

Spring/Summer 2011. Topshop Outfit.

It's a bit smaller than I hopes, please forgive me but I am still getting used to the polyvore set-up to blogger, everything shrinks!

I thought I'd show you this outfit, because although it's cold at the moment, it will get warmer, and this is an idea of what to wear when it does! :)

I like this cream top (1) it's perfect for any body shape because it hides a multitude of sins if you let it flow, or can easily be cinched in at the waste with a thin, tan belt! I was looking on Topshop for a skirt to go with the top, and then I found this one (2), the colours go perfectly with the top! As for shoes, there was no difficulty in this decision, I had to choose brogues! These are a fine example of classic brogues (3) and would go with many of the outfits I have in my wardrobe, so I feel a purchase coming on! I wouldn't team too much jewellery with this outfit, so I chose an elegant gold bangle (4) that, again, would go with a majority of outfits! I saw the earrings (5) and had to put them in! I love owls and really want these! Since you have dangly earrings, it's best to put your hair up and I think a braid and a messy bun would do just fine (6)! If it's a particularly sunny day you can put on a pair on sun-glasses (7) and you're good to go! You can wear a denim shirt, cardigan or denim jacket over the top if it's cold, which it probably will be, and you will be set for spring and summer!

A little expensive, but it is a whole outfit! Everything can be mixed and matched with other items you have, most probably, so well worth the money!

Tuesdays Top Tip:

When applying powder foundation you should also put all the liquid products on first. If you want to use liquid foundation and a concealer, put them on and then the powder goes over the top! Once you've put the powder on resist the temptation to put liquid highlighters or any liquid products on over the top, as it will just remove the powder from that area! If you want a highlighter try using a white eye shadow or a highlighting powder! Eye shadow does the same thing though!

More Dash then Cash. ASOS.

More Dash than Cash, is an idea taken from Vogue, but for a less well-off price range.

This one is from Asos, and the whole outfit will come to or under £75, we hope!

1. A sweet little head band, which I think goes with the outfit! £4.

2. Denim dress, it's perfect for summer and spring! £40.

3. A tan leather belt, cinches you in perfectly to give the affect of curves on a straight up and down girl, or just looks pretty on anyone else! £6.

4. Pretty little floral shoes, I love the bow and strap! £25.

If you prefer head scarfs, then I think they would go well too, but I didn't have enough money left on the £75 budget for one! Cream brogues would also look nice if you had them, but again I had price issues. Adding in some cream tights and a brown cardigan would make this look wearable in Spring too!

Project Ten Pan and a new layout.

I'm jumping on the band wagon for.. Project Ten Pan.

Basically you have to finish off 10 products, that you choose at the start of it, and while you're doing it you can't buy ANY make-up, none at all.

So my ten products are:

1. Clarins face powder in Cotton Flower.

2. Collection 2000 Shimmering Glow Bronzer. (This could take a while)

3. Benefit One Hot Minute, 'sexy in seconds' face powder. It's more like a bronzer, again could take a while as I don't use it too often.

4. Max Factor Colour Adapt in 70 Natural. Wont take long, 3 or 4 days?

5. Benefit some kind-a gorgeous. Barely any left, one or two more uses.

6. Benefit Sugarbomb blush, not much left, a week or so usage.

7. MUA lipstick, no clue of what shade.

8. Superdrug strawberry lip balm.

9. BarryM Glossy Tube.

10. Maybelline Falsies Mascara. Genuinely worried about this one, I got it for Christmas so will take AGES.

The rules:

You can use other make-up you have, but can't buy anymore until all 10 products that you chose are used up.

You MUST finish all of the product fairly, using it all on yourself or someone else, you can't, for instance, squeeze out all of a lip gloss tube and say you're done.

Don't tag anyone else to do this, if they see it and want to then that's fine, but you can't FORCE someone to not buy any make-up.

If you've had a product for so long it becomes un-usable that also counts as finishing, like if a mascara becomes dry and difficult to put on and leaves a nasty finish then you've had it and used it for as long as possible.

Tell me if you so it!

Update:

I have a new blog colour theme, well it's not really a colour theme, more like an exposition in a paint factory, but I like colour so it's okay! My job is coming on nicely, bar the wages, mum seems to disagree completely on how much I should charge! How much do you get paid per hour for babysitting, mum thinks I should get £5 for 3 hours, which I don;t think is fair at all, I want to charge £4 - £5 an hour, which I've heard is the general babysitting rate for out of London. London is like £10 an hour! :O So yeah, help on the pay front please? :)

Review time baby. - Lord & Berry eyeliner and Fudge hairspray.

Size of the bottle is AMAZING for the price, I think it was £4 or £3!

Fudge Skyscraper Medium hold hairspray.

Lord and Berry No Smudge Eyeliner. £5 I think.

Finished product, I look rubbish tonight.. :/ but I like the Hairspray and eyeliner!

Hairspray:

Pros:

1. The size of the bottle is HUGE.

2. It smells amazing, apple and coconut!

3. 6 factor hold, and this is true, I think it's out of ten!

4. Brushes out easily!

5. Isn't sticky.

6. Makes my hair feel really soft!

7. The scent stays on my hair, which is nice!

Cons:

1.I was expecting a 10/10 factor hold, but that's alright, I just didn't read the label right!

2. Grey and orange packaging don't go together very well!

Overall:

9.9/10

I would buy this again!

Eyeliner:

Pros:

1. I love the packaging!

2. When applied to non-oily eyelids it will last for AGES!

3. The colour is lovely and vibrant.

4. Lasts for a while..

5. Quite cheap for L&B

Cons:

1. Gave me racoon eyes, but if you wipe it away quickly it wont stick, and after 30 minutes it stops, so I recommend to do this a while before you go out!]

Overall:

8/10

Might repurchase this, if I don't get the Sleek ink pot!

Standing on the edge of forever.

My life, finally, is on track. I have a weekly baby-sitting job, my test results are better than ever and they're GCSE standard, aiming for an A-A* in Physics, and an A in Biology and Chemistry, I passed my grade 6 flute, I have a wonderful bunch of friends, I finally got a film camera, I'm off to Paris and London AND France this year (jet setter eh?), my Grandpa isn't well but isn't getting any worse which is really, at this point, the best I could hope for... I enjoy all but two of my school subjects (French and German) and 80 beautiful people follow my blog. So I'm expecting, soon, for my world to come crashing down like it always does when everything is going right.. but for now it's not, so I can smile.

I thought in this post I would explain a little bit about my textiles GCSE, what I want to get out of it, and what my plan is for the dress...

1. It's based on Paris, the blend of the 'vintage' little streets and the modern skyscrapers.

2. The main influence is the House of Chanel, now with Karl Lagerfeld and back in the 1920's with Gabrielle Chanel.

3. I want to make a flowing, elegant, black satin dress based on the Eiffel tower, so basically a figure hugging dress that goes out at the waist, into a twirling worthy dress.

4. I'm really scared it'll go wrong.

5. I want to do my theme research in Paris, but we have to do it next week, which sucks!

6. I want to be able to know I can make a quality garment, so if needs be in later life, I can make my own!

7. I chose the dress and theme I wanted to do long before we got the coursework choice booklet.

8. I'm going to show you how I'm getting on at each stage of the production.

9. In the summer I might do a tutorial on how to make your own beach dress!

10. I'm going to try SO hard on the coursework booklet!

I hope this was an interesting read, for all you who do textiles, or those who are interested in it, or for those who are interested in my life (probably only my friends?).

Sorry for the lack of post's, I was at dad's meeting my brother, and then I had a textiles mood board to finish, if you want updates on my Textiles GCSE just ask, I think it would be a nice thing to do!

I also have a new job of Monday evenings, starting soon baby-sitting a girl in year 6 at my school, so no post's on Mondays, but it'll be good, as I should get about £10 a day for looking after her, so that's around £40 a month, which £10 will go to a savings account, and £10 will go towards a blog review fund, so if you have items you want to be reviewed just ask! :)

Just a quick note - 80 followers! Thank you all, you gorgeous little fashionista's!

So, on with the collection:

Snake Valley - Topshop

Snake Valley is Festival meet Bohemian meet Red Indians meet Cowgirl.

It's an explosion of tie-dye, fringing, leather, chiffon and colour. It's plain gorgeous in my opinion! It's the new generation of festival girls, at least that's how Topshop describes it and I have to agree! I went to a local festival called Boardmasters last summer, and am planning on going this year again. I can definitely see myself buying a few of these key pieces to wear!

Here are my favourite items:

I love the way everything in this collection fits together, you can see it's collection when it's together! My favourite items are the bag and the cuff bangle. I love the suede tasselling on the bag, and the gold and turquoise on the cuff! I really want them!

Oh and a life update:

I've seen a picture of my brother and OH MY he is cute. He's a lump really, but compared to Amelia most babies look like lumps. He has really chubby cheeks, and he's just perfect! I also received my Textiles CW brief today, I chose to do an item with cultural influences and I'm going to do a duo-tone dress beaded with pearls. The inspiration from this came from Paris, mainly vintage Chanel but I'm going to mix in some current Parisian fashion, and hopefully it will be lovely! I have to do an A3 mood board, which everyone else is moaning and groaning about, but I'm really looking forward to it! Which makes me think that magazines would be the perfect workplace for me, like the beauty editor or something, because I can make work look pretty, it's one of the few things I'm good at, and if I did that I would LOVE to wake up every morning, and put on my Chanel heels and go off to work!

Update, life, few picks and my POTW.

So... I went back to school today, which honestly wasn't as bad as I expected. I'm on top of all my homework, everything is practically organised and I've worked out how to look nice while still wearing regulation uniform, perfect! What I'm still searching for is foundation that'll last all day, any tips or ideas? I really want a primer, but in my house we're running a bit of a tight-ship after Christmas, and having just made an order to Asos for a Fudge Hairspray and a Lord and Berry Eyeliner, both of which I am determined I needed, mum however does not believe this. My next £12.50 will probably go towards a M.A.C fluid line liner, and then after that some summer clothes, as I try to stock up early before all the nice stuff is gone, and then buy stuff during early summer for wearing in late summer, and from late summer I buy winter clothes. That way I always have the right clothes for the weather, and I don't have to walk down into town in Autumn in shorts and a crop top.. logical really!

I changed my NYR from taking a photo a day, to taking a photo a week. I think this will show a better change, as day to day I look the same, whereas, as I am on a diet, week to week may show me getting smaller, well we hope it does!

My nasty picture of the week, I couldn't be bothered to take any more so decided this would have to do,. I do realise I look like a poser, but I might have to get over that fact as the other pictures are some what.. atrocious.

I love the cardigan and the denim jacket. I think the cardigan is a mild way of doing the 'Back to the 60s' trend that's going on. The denim jacket is definitely one of my favourite statement pieces this season, I already own one, but it's pale and cropped, so more for summer over cropped tops, and I really want a darker one for this season!

The poncho is not on my favourite picks, it is one here to show you what is predicted to be in fashion for summer. Ponchos... really? I used to have one when I was around 7, I wore it everywhere, everyday, to every single event I went to. Along with a pink feather boa and a pink beret. Fashionable child right? I think I wore that Poncho solidly for a year, and when I realised what an idiot I looked like I vowed never to wear one again. I'm not planning on breaking that vow this summer either.

The last picture is mainly described in the caption, but I just thought I'd let you know that I am going to be putting my POTW on here each week, then at the end I will make a GIF, or a flickbook of all of them for you to see! Just for pure curiosity of how I will change over a year!

This collection is based around old school America, so think Grease. It's 50s shapes having a comeback, which I think is very nice and works well in today's trends! I love the shoes in collection shoot, heeled brogues are perfect, for me especially as I have a probably with my thigh, knee and foot which I have physiotherapy for and they told me heels are better than flats! What've I been telling you.. the trends this season are perfect for me!

Here are my favourites picks from the collection:

I love tailored shorts, and these are no exception. The Coral colour is perfect as it fits into the nude trend of this season too! These are £30 and also come in hot pink!

Florals are staying put again this season, it must be the longest running trend! This shirt-dress is lovely, and definitely has a 'Granny-chic' air about it. It's £36!

I love satchels, and this one is so pretty and vintage looking! It is £70 a pop, but a good satchel can last for your life time and onwards!

I love the ditsyness of this outfit, and the clashing colours of the jumper and the skirt, but somehow it works! The jumper is £32 and the skirt is £28, very affordable!

Just another Lazy Sunday. + Review.

- For those of you who have been unfortunate enough to see it, the title is nothing to do with Lazy Sundays-

Today I was going to do and OOTD, but then Mum started doing the washing and all my clothes in my bedroom have gone :O So I have the most hideous top/dress thing on and a pair of leggings, but hey, who cares!

I'm going to do a review today of Big Beautiful Eyes by Benefit, and I think I may have already done one, or may not, but I found out a few more things about it recently, so this is a more accurate review!

I love the outer layout and packaging, and the way it has a step be step make-up lesson on the front is always handy for those new to make-up. However the inner packaging is a whole different story... It has a layer of plastic around the decorative paper to keep it safe, and this plastic has got air pockets in, and it just looks a little tacky.. The concealer is of a decent size, but the base, contour and liner pans should not all be the same size in my opinion, you need a lot of base, a bit less of contour and barely any liner.. yet they're all the same size? To me this doesn't make sense?

Onto the actual products; The concealer, overall, is very good, although it's a little bit too hard for putting under eyes, and can cake every now and then, depending on the foundation used. It's a little bit like a small Naked Palette really, colour wise.. The colours are frosty, and a tad sheer for my liking, but easily build-able It comes with a two sided shadow and liner brush, and a concealer brush which are both lovely and haven't shed once to my knowledge!

I probably would buy this product again, on the account that I can achieve the same look with the Sleek Storm Palette, which is only £4.95 or something around there, whereas this is around £23.50.

Saturday Style Tips!

Whilst sitting down on my bed, with my duvet around me to keep me warm and Marie Claire laid out on my bed, I realised these trends must be the best suited to the weather yet! I checked Vouge and they said the same; Warmth, Fur and Knit's. I could not be more happy! All my Christmas goodies are in fashion for at least the next season, so I don't have to spend money buying more clothes, and the next season will be summer, which for me is spent in shorts and tops, hopefully tiny tops if I'm small enough! So here is a summary of the gorgeous new trends, which haven't really been changing recently!

Chunky Knits/Draft Excluders;

Big knitted cardigan? Check.

Knitted bobble hat? Check.

Matching scarf? Check.

Ear Muffs? Need.

Flat boots? Again, need.

As a well thought guess, I would also say socks are quite likely to feature, not crazy prints, but grey, camel and nude knitted socks will go with most outfits, keep you warm in what is said to be the coldest winter in over 100 years, some say 300, and very cheap! I might go buy some more...

Oh so faux;

I'm not going to recommend wearing fur, no matter how fashion able it is, so please for the sake of the gorgeous, endangered animals out there, buy faux? Faux gilets, shrugs and coat's will all be perfect! If fur is good enough to keep animals warm in -20 degree warm, it's good enough to keep us warm, even if it is faux! My guess is that Russian hats will also be fairly fashionable too!

Coloured cocktails;

Little bright block coloured party dresses are very in, and January is always quite a big month for parties, having just had New Year and everything!

Inspiration from the snow;

White clothes are definitely becoming more prominent than black clothes in the winter to spring change over, white suits, white and cream knits, anything pale or nude!

Happy New Years!

A lot has changed since January 1st 2010.. I mean, I started year 10, I met some AMAZING people. I started blogging! I passed my grade 6 flute and played in front of people. I became Best Friends with Kerrie, and 77 of you gorgeous people followed my blog, which started off with 0 followers.

This is me in February of this year.

This is me now.

I think I look about 3 or 4 years older... My hair has gone from light to dark, infact I'd forgotten how light until I saw that picture. I've grown around 3 inches this year :O and I've gone from a 12-14 to a 10-12. So much as happened this year really, and so much more will happen in the next. I have GCSEs coming up in 5 months, and then a year and 5 months till the next batch. Next year I will be in the oldest year in my school, bar 6th form, and for me, that is a big thing.

I wrote a few New Years Resolutions out earlier, so here they are:

1. Drink 8 glasses of water a day, the daily recommend amount.

2. Have salad for lunch every school day, no bread and butter either, just a jacket potato and salad.

3. Save £5+ a month from my pocket money, then when I've got to a size 8-10 spend it on some lovely clothes.

4. Wake up before 8 everyday, because lie ins make you gradually lazy, and you miss out on hours each day. Eat breakfast before 9 everyday, as breakfast is a staple meal.

5. Take a photo a day for a year, I might make a blog for this. This photo = me. Then at the end of the year I will put them all together to see how I've changed.

6. Do something different than having my hair in a pony tail or down once a week. So a fish tail plait, or a side bun or something!

7. Start revising a month before my GCSEs.

8. No chocolate, for a how year. Bar holidays and special occasions.

9. No snacking between meals, it's the main contributor to weight gain!

10. Exercise for an hour 3 days a week, I do PE twice a week, so basically find a form of exercise to do once a week!

11. Cook tea once a month at least!

12. Tidy my room up once a week.

What my day consisted of. The first, my little sister Amelia. The second, a keyboard as I have been on here most of the day as the weather is horrible! Fat camp for me!

Sorry for the lack of post's. I've been busy and I'm at my dad's house now, with my sister again! :D

I've received various gorgeous gifts from 'Father Christmas', Mum, Dad and my step mum, Realatives and friends. Including the cardigan from Topshop which I've wanted for ages, I think Hannah has it, but don't hold me to it. It's a cream knit, with brown leather buttons, it's just lovely! I also got some camel coloured jeans, again from Topshop, which mum gave me!

Most of the Christmas money I got is going towards a Canon 1000D, but a bit was spent in the sales! I love the hustle and bustle of sales, it's my favourite atmosphere! Have any of you been sale shopping?

I will do a post of my presents soon, in hope others do some too, not to brag but just for those who want to see! :D

Starting a diet on Saturday, because seriously either that or it's fat camp for me. I've eaten so much!

Christmas! + NOTD :)

So, it's that time of year again, the time when I can stand my hideous nail painting (I managed to paint santa hat's on my nails, with a green background, quite chuffed really), the time where even if you're on a diet you eat whatever you feel like and the time when you buy tons and tons of presents to celebrate someone else's birthday! By the last one I'm not saying I'm an all out Christian, but realistically, without baby Jesus, we would have no Christmas to celebrate, and we would probably all be in school or work, which isn't nice!

I had a lovely three days at Dad's, Amelia is the most adorable baby ever, of course I'm bias but still, she is! I got her a baby music set, but yet she still wanted to have all of my presents from Dad and Clare, my step-mum. Typical baby! :)

Sorry about the hideous hair, my step-mums boiler broke, which meant cold showers, which is alright for washing yourself, but I can't stand it for long enough to wash my hair! Infact, after I've written this I might go and wash my hair! I can't really do pictures at the moment, because, yet again, I forgot to charge my camera, I really should remember! The nails picture is from my mac's photo booth, which I hate the quality of!

I will have a Christmas OOTD coming up, and a Christmas Present Haul Tag AND a boxing day sales haul! Mum's told me that I wont be getting a camera for Christmas so I'm saving up big time, £70 down, only £300 left to go! I need a job!

Christmas Eve Eve.

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday! I've been at my Dad's with my gorgeous little sister, Amelia, so haven't been able to find the time, it's all busy busy busy here!

While I was down here, my step mum and I did our nails and I found a new love, O.P.I. it's lovely! :D

I love the shimmer and glitter! Seeing how good O.P.I. is, I hardly doubt the finished product would be any less glittery!

Advent Calendar - Day 19

I love chunky knit cardigans, not just this season, or this year, but I think I've had one in my possession from around the age of 5. I wear them whenever we have a cold snap, or just to lounge around the house in, they're so comfortable. They are my favourite item of clothing, and this one is a fine example of a chunky knit cardigan. It's a jupe from Topshop, but it's cheaper, therefore making it more likeable to me! I've put a chunky cardigan on my wishlist, hopefully 'Father Christmas' will know my love for them!

I managed to wrap all my presents today, success! The tree looks lovely, and everything is perfect, except my lack of Christmas feeling. Oh well, can't be helped!

Oh em gee (I do not usually talk like this, I find it chavy to say the least, but this occasion calls for it) Inception is THE best film I've ever seen. I can't stop thinking about it, it's like it has possessed my mind. If you've seen it you will understand my love for it, if not - go see it!

Christmas Overview.

One week today; I will be feeling stuffed, bloated, happy and content - well we hope anyway.

I don't know what it is about Christmas food, but I can eat and eat and eat and never feel full. It's delicious, and I feel made if there's even a tiny morsel of food left on the table. Christmas food is lovely, I'm evening growing to like sprouts, my Gran makes me have two a year, plenty enough if you ask me! My family's Christmas is mainly orientated around food, presents and laughing, oh and the Queen's speech.

I decorated my Christmas tree today, finally. I'll put up a picture soon, soon being within the next 6 days. I've bought all but one present, so I'm quite pleased! I'm STILL not feeling Christmassy though. I have sudden burst of it, like when I sing Christmas Carols, decorate Christmas trees and eat Christmas food, but it only stays while I'm doing that activity. When I was little, I used to get excited, now I just look forward to things, excited is when you get a feel in the bottom of your stomach that wont go away, I just don't get that anymore, I did the day before CSL, but that was a rare occasion. One time I always get it? On a plane, not while we're in the air, or even taking off, but when we're taxiing around the runway.

I haven't asked for much this year, nothing big. I asked for a camera to start with, but decided I would appreciate it more if I bought it with my own money. I've mainly asked for clothes to be honest.

Well my darlings, there is a tin of Celebrations being eaten without me, so I will say fair-well, adieu, goodbye. You'll hear my useless nattering again tomorrow :)

Top ten Lush Goodies!

This was requested by Ali, and it sounds fun, so I thought I'd do it!

I know this is about Lush, but just a quick update on the Jack Wills Nail Polish, it's amazing, as I'm typing now, I keep catching a glance at my nails which really stand out next to the white keyboard. I think this may be my favourite beauty product I've EVER tried, and I've tried a fair few. Anyway, on with the list:

From Left top Right and Top to Bottom.

1. Sex Bomb - gave me a lovely smelling bath, rather 'inappropriate' name as my gran would say.

2. 'lil Lush Pud - Used it last Christmas and it was wonderful. I hope my mum reads this, would give her inspiration for Christmas presents, which she has bought a lack of.

3. Whoosh Jelly - It's not this jelly in particular I like, it's the purple one, but I couldn't find it on polyvore so I just put this down. I used mine every day for around 2 months, there was still some left and I think it had gone out of date, but all I'm saying is, a little goes a long way! I also had quite a bit amount.

4. Flosty Gritter - That's its real name, don't ask me why! I prefer the red version of this, but I think it was LE so, no more red bath bars for me :( It's lovely so, and leaves your bath COVERED in bubbles.

5. Supernova - used it, loved it.

6. Honey I washed the kids - I LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVVVVEEE this soap, nearly as much as my Jack Wills Nail Varnish. Enough said?

7. Snow Fairy - Lovely Product, does what it says on the tin.

8. Wee Harry - It's on Polyvore but not Lush, but I used it last Christmas and it was lovely! Actually, might not of been last Christmas.. but anyway, I've used it and it was lovely!

9. Happy Pill - Love this, lasts for ages if you break it up! Smells heavenly and relaxes you to a T.

10. Jingle Spells - Seems it was LE from last Christmas, but really all the purple ones are good! :)

Hey, sorry for the lack of post yesterday, had a few friends round, y'know me, busy social life and all that jazz - for all those that don't know me, that was a joke, I usually sit at home and blog, facebook, tumblr, watch tv, homework, socialise with the odd few people who live near me.. nothing too exciting.

Well, I finished school on Wednesday, so we did the whole exchanging of presents thing then. There's a few of the presents here, but only the ones I'm reviewing as this is primarily a haul, which insinuates I have to buy the items. So.. on with the pictures:

Reviews -

So White:

Cons - It was smaller than most Lush Bath Bombs, it made the whole tub feel oily afterwards and it fizzes really quietly and slowly, good for some people but for me not so great.

Pros - Smelt AMAZING, left my skin feeling luxurious and moisturised and the scent has stayed on me, so would be great to use before a night out!

Overall:

8/10

Would I ~~buy~~ receive it again?

Most defiantly.

Jack Wills Nail Polish:

Cons - Tad pricey and the lid feels really cheap.

Pros - It's such a pigmented, vibrant colour! The brush is the perfect size for my petite nail surface, doesn't seem to be chipping, even after a long bath! Only need one coat, but me being stuck in my habits did three.... :/

Overall:

9/10

Would I buy this product again?

If I had a spare £6 to spend on nail varnish, I would buy it again. I would probably buy a few different colours first, to try them all out, but yes, overall I would buy this again without a smidgen of doubt. £6 well spent.

-Panic while at school for the fact I might be eaten alive for being late

-Going to the wrong first lesson

-Getting out the wrong books in my right first lesson

-Eating my break in first lesson which left me hungry at break

-Rehearsal, spent complaining about hunger and sleep deprivation

-Christmas lunch, best lunch of the year

-More panic after losing my bag

-Searching everywhere in the locker room for it

-Searching everywhere in the lunch hall for it

-Getting close to tears after losing all my books, work and Christmas presents

-Walking back into the locker rooms and finding my bag under someone else's directly in front of me

-Turning into a tomato through embarrassment

-Stabbing myself in the finger repeatedly while pinning my sisters Christmas quilt

-Panicking thinking I had another rehearsal

-Panicking thinking I'd left a homework at home which took me and hour to do the night before

-Panicking about not finishing my textiles project

-Calmed down at home and watched Make it or Break it, have been waiting to see it since Saturday

-Gran and Grandpa walk in and make me turn it oh. AH AH AH, I turned into a crazy lady and stormed out.

-Realising I forgot like 20 peoples Christmas cards.

-Panicking they might be cross I didn't get them one

-Panicking I would get to finish my meal before the concert

-Stressing out at everyone at tea before the concert

-Panicking about words in the concert

-Got home and finished Make it or Break it.

Advent Calendar - Day 12

Sorry for the lack of post's! Friday night I was at my Gran and Grandpa's house, I decorated their Christmas tree, which was so fun, and decorated their Christmas cake, best decorations I've ever done, perfected smoothing fondant icing onto cakes too! Saturday was my one year old sister's birthday party, her birthday was on Friday, but Friday is drinking night where I live, so not perfect for a babies first birthday! I was at my dads for that party, so didn't have access to the internet, or time to blog, as I had a heard of 1 to 5 year olds beating me up, chasing after me, jumping on me, hugging me, biting my fingers and making me play hide and seek, needless to say I had a 10 hour sleep that night. This morning was spent with my little sister, which was fun and quite relaxing compared to the night before, Dad was at work, and my step mum was at a horse competition, not riding as she is 8 months pregnant, but supporting! My little sister, Amelia, has just discovered how to walk while holding onto furniture, so this involves a lot of crying when she falls over, but they learn from their mistakes so she'll be fine!

I love this shirt, it's Christmassy, because of the red and green, thick lovely fabric for keeping you warm and so pretty! I did some major hinting in my local Topshop for Christmas presents, this was one of the items I was hinting for, so I hope you like it too!

Christmas Advent Calendar. Day 9.

Champagne and cake, living the high life.

This is what my evening mainly consisted of, and to be honest, it was rather enjoyable! I havn't had Champagne in a while, and I'd almost forgotten what it tasted like, God knows why because it's lovely, and it's what I'm aiming to drink when I'm older, because being the famous fashion journalist I'm going to be, I will have to go to lots of lovely, fabulous, high-fashion parties, where there will be bucket loads. So my Champagne tonight was just R and D for my future life!

So, on with the Advent Calendar! Today I got a cracker in my Peppa Pig Advent Calendar! It was very tasty, and I think this, also, is metaphorically very scrumptious.

I adore this dress! I think it would be good for me as I am constantly playing with my hair, so I would show the true beauty of it's stunning circle print! Rolls on the stomach? No problem for this dress, the synched in waist, baggy top half and circular print will hide all manner of sins! Not that rolls are sins, how could chocolate cake EVER be a sin eh? ;)

Christmas Advent Calendar. Day 8.

Cannot do this everyday, as I have other fabulous things to post to all of you, but here is my second instalment of my 'Christmas Advent Calendar'.

Technically this is three things, but they are all a set, and I have missed a few days of this, so stuff it!

I love blue and cream, I have a crazy, large obsession with it, if you look in my wardrobe, most clothes are cream or blue, or have cream or blue in! This set also comes in red and white, but I much prefer the blue and cream, as red and white is considered unlucky and I am a stickler for supposition, like smashing a good quality bottle of Champagne over a new boat, or never putting an umbrella up indoors!

I think this would look lovely with most coat's or winter outfits, which is good as you really need to be putting on warm outfits at the moment with all this chilly weather, we had a frost on Monday, and it's still here on Wednesday, cold throughout the day as well as night, sucks to be me eh?

Clothes Show Live - Theme 2 - High School Rocks

I love this theme. It's preppy, and I love preppy.

I've recently been spending ALL my money in Starbucks (bad Katie), but I have a new resolution, go to Sterbucks with my friends, get water and nick their drinks and buy clothes with the money I save! Sound good? By buying clothes, I can then splurge in my love for the preppy trend!

So, on with the theme:

The first picture is on here because he is HOT, like really hot, even Gok Wan thinks so!!!

This style to me, sum's up English style with an American twist, basically Preppy, although I think of preppy as greens, and browns and blues.

Clothes Show Live - First Theme - Gangster.

I loved clothes show live, quite disappointed I didn't meet Amy though :(

The third picture down is Inju5tice, who, are in some lights quite hot, others not so much. They ran past us at the CSL and got a picture with my friends and smiled at our group, it was quite surreal to be honest.

I loved the first theme, and seeing Gok Wan and his hot male models! At the beginning of each them there was a dance act, this one was a 'James Bond' theme and someone was pretending to steal a diamond, while back flicking and somersaulting through laser beams, then a whole troop joined in, it was pretty spectacular really!

The clothes were lovely, they didn't tell us the designers, but I can live with that, it's not like I'd go and buy them anyway! Picture 7 sums up this theme for me, I love the girl's outfits, and the boys behind them are so hot! Seen more clearly in picture 8!

Advent Calender, Day 2.

First pick of the month:

I love the new 'mustard' colour in shops right now! It is 'oh so in' and gorgeous. I've always loved a peter pan collar on a blouse, and this is no exception. This probably wouldn't be good for apple or pear shapes, because it brings a lot of attention to the hips, if you're more of a 'T' or a boyish shape then I would go for it, it'll give you some lovely curves! I've never been able to wear blouses, I have a pear/hour-glass figure, but I'm a bit bigger than I should be for my height, I'm 5"4 and a size UK 10, so a US 6 I think, which is not big, but my body can be smaller, I think it's 'natural' size is an 8 or a 6, so no chocolate or fat for me!

I hoped you liked my Gok Wan inspired shape talk! So looking forward to seeing him on Saturday at Clothes Show Live if I go, the snow is making travelling so hectic where I live, I haven't had snow since Monday, but the cold weather is not letting it melt, meaning I still have a good 3 inches. Hopefully the roads will be well gritted on Saturday morning at 5:00 am. Yes, that's right, it is possible for me to wake up at that time in the morning, stupid o'clock as my mum calls it. Coffee, coffee and more coffee on Saturday morning I think. The bad fact? I don't even like coffee, sucks to be me eh? That, by the way, is just a joke, it doesn't suck to be me, as I am going to CLOTHES SHOW LIVE, and possibly seeing my lovely blogger friend Amy, you should go and see her blog, it's lovely, like her! :)

I think I owe you an apology....

... because recently I've been tired and uninspired. I haven't posted enough, I've had lots of flute practise to do, a lot of homework, and just a lack of inspiration. Today I had to copy out two solid pages of writing into my book, god knows why we couldn't stick the paper in, but that's life. :(

I know I've been posting, but in my opinion the quality of my post's are deteriorating which is not good! My camera is failing badly, the damn thing takes around five minutes to upload a single person, and I'm so impatient.

I just wanted to say 'HAPPY DECEMBER' and point out that in 3 weeks it will be the day of the year we all love, and if you don't love it because you have no one to share it with, or just generally think it's a pointless waste of time, think of the smiles of the little children when they open their presents in the morning, or the joy of a homeless man or woman getting a hot cup of free soup from some kind, admirable person! That thought alone makes me happy. If you have no one to share Christmas with, well I have a big family, we can always make room for more people! My family loves big family Christmas', and I have to admit, I love it too! I don't so much like the present giving, don't get me wrong, it really is a great time, but I love the Christmas meal, when there's 10-15 of us all sat round a small table, reaching over each other, different coloured Christmas hat's on heads, and a table full of delicious home-made food. Everyone forgets about school, stressful jobs and the cleaning they have to do the next day and just.. not so much relaxes, but sinks into the Christmas atmosphere. That for me, is the best day of the year, and without my family it wouldn't be half as good!

So, more post's to come, a wishlist of stuff I would like, because it makes me feel Christmassy, and a few times I might do an 'advent calendar' of my favourite things for sale this season!

Youtube! :)

I've been watching youtube guru's for around a year now, and I've seen them all, good, bad and the ones that don't have a clue what to do, so I think I'm a good judge on people? :)

Well about 6 months ago I found someone called xrubyredlips, I did a youtube guru list a few months ago but I thought I would do a whole post on her! Her names not ruby or anything, it's thea!

She knows I'm doing this because I asked, but she had not asked me to do it, or even come to me asking about my blog so this is all 100% honest opinions! She's a 14 year old girl, like me, who lives in the UK, like me. I think that's one of the reasons I can relate to her videos, outfits and reviews.

I'm just making this really, because I have 70 of you following me, two of them being her.. so 68 who can benefit from this, and I think you should all go and watch her videos. She constantly does giveaways and lovely reviews from websites like Gift girls and some bath websites, and candles and all lovely things!

I'm mainly doing this because there are very few people my age who have outstanding youtube accounts or blogs, there's people like Hannah, Ruby, Amy and Reyna who all have blogs, and Thea on youtube, but really there's not that many! So I think we should tell people about the outstanding vlogs and blogs from teenagers, because they obviously must have a major passion for it as they're not getting paid!

So yeah, go look at her videos, and the other blogs, they are my daily reads/youtube guru's.

Presents for Him.

These two are the only specific ones I would strongly recommend. I got my dad the pinart last christmas, and I can safely say he's never used it bar on Christmas eve when I gave it to him... (I have christmas with my mum, meaning I do Christmas with dad on Christmas Eve) but it provides me with a lot of fun when I go round, and if you had a normal dad, who uses presents then this would be fine! The Ralph Lauren eau de toilette smells amazing, I might get it for dad this year, but then again, I might not.

Some other presents:

Socks; safe bet, always worn.

Remote control car; I got one when I was five and my Grandpa did too, we spent the next few month's racing down the hall ways, needless to say my mum and Gran regretted it.

Ties; if your dad or boyfriend, friend or family member goes to posh event's or is in a business revolved career these are always good!

RULES.

1. No form of chocolate (bar my REALLY hot peppa pig advent calendar) till Christmas Eve.

2. Some form of exercise 3 days a week.

3. If my skin looks clear then I can't put foundation on.

4. No more Starbucks till I have a paid job.

5. Make more effort with work.

6. Organise, revise.

I wrote these here because I'm on here everyday, I read what I've written and criticise it most days, so if it's written here I know I'll stick to it, and everything is easier with support, I'm not asking for it, but I'm better of writing it here, than telling mum, she'll tell me I wont do it, which makes me want to but... still, support is better! :P

REASONS.

1. I have no money to buy new clothes, so I'd rather fit well into the ones I have.

2. I'm wasting money on Starbucks, I'm addicted I swear.

3. I have one chance to get good grades, and one chance only, redoing isn't an option in my family, and what I'm doing now just isn't cutting it.

4. Exercise and healthy living is generally good for you!

120th post! Boxing day outfit! (OOTD)

So, this is just to set the scene. Imagine waking up from a warm, comfy bed, and looking at a room covered in wrapping paper, presents and clothes from the day before. Outside is still dark yet it's 8 in the morning and you realise there's the after Christmas sales going on. You most probably feel bloated and fat from the turkey (quorn if your a veggie, which I'm not :P), mince pies (yuck :O), Christmas cake (YUCK :O), Champagne (mmm :D) and chocolate (double mmm :D :D), you don't really want to wear tight tops, or anything formal, but want to look ever the fashionista like you always do? Well this might help!

This is what I like to wear, and no, I'm not nearly bald but my hair is tided up in a low ponytail!

My coat is from River Island in the L'ART section, the top is last years Topshop and I wear it all the time, the jeggings are from GAP and finally my shoes are from Topshop!

I think I look a bit pregnant in this photo, but I'm not! I'm a size UK 10 so not that big in the grand scale of things!

I loving 'sailor 'esque'' coat's, they're a bit out of fashion, but I like mine, it's a bit military as well so I'm not completely out of the trends! :)
